"Thrust" is a studio album by American jazz pianist Herbie Hancock, released in September 1974 on the Columbia label. It is a continuation of the album "Head Hunters" (1973) and was equally successful, reaching 13th place on the Billboard Hot 200. The album features the same lineup as "Head Hunters", except for drummer Mike Clark replacing Harvey Mason. The album includes the composition "Actual Proof", which showcases Hancock's style of playing the Rhodes piano, and the track "Butterfly", which would later be performed for a live album and included in two studio releases.
